About Our Aromatherapy Candles

There are a few reasons why Promethean Candle aromatherapy candles are second to none. First and foremost, it's quite simple: we use pure essential oils used in professional aromatherapy. We do not blend or "cut" these pure essential oils with any artificial fragrances or anything else.

Secondly, after much searching and testing, we have found a 100% pure soy wax and a 100% pure palm wax with excellent buring properties. Neither our soy nor palm wax is mixed with anything else, whether it be paraffin or any other botanical oil. We're not saying blending wax is inherently bad, but when it comes to aromatherapy, we don't want anything to interfere with the natural fragrance and spirit of the essential oils.

We offer 14 individual essential oils as well as 19 pure essential oil blends formulated for specific effects. Some of our more popular essential oils are lavender, patchouli and sandalwood. A few of our most popular pure blends are Happiness, Calm and Love & Amity.

We do not claim to be aroma-therapists here at Promethean Candle Boutique, but we did consult a number of licensed aroma-therapists as well as a plethora of other resources, so you can be sure that these formulas have been tested and used in professional aromatherapy. How to Use the Aromatherapy Candle Creation Form

1. In step one, choose from the 5 glass containers and the 2 travel tins we have available. Simply click on the dropdown menu and select a container. A photo of that container will appear on the right so you can make sure that's the container you want.
2. In this step you will choose between 100% pure soy wax and 100% pure palm wax. If you're concerned about aesthetics and will enjoy looking at a tall flame and beautiful, crystallized wax, go with the palm wax. If your main concern is a slow, steady and longer burn, then go with the soy wax.
3. Here you will choose the essential oil or the pure essential oil blend you desire. Just click on each radio button beside the oil or pure blend and a description will appear below. This will describe common effects that the particular oil or blend has when used in aromatherapy. If you're concerned about fragrance rather than the effect of the essential oils, keep an eye on the "Essential Oil Fragrance Strength" beneath the description. This will measure the "smell" of the essential oil on a scale from 1 to 5.
4. Last, but certainly not least, you will enter the quantity of aromatherapy candles you wish to purchase. Keep in mind that the more of each candle you buy, the more you will save. When purchasing aromatherapy candles, you can save up to 25%.
